Art Week Riyadh: A Cultural Celebration Showcasing Global Arts And Creativity

"Art Week Riyadh" has emerged as a pivotal event in Saudi Arabia's cultural landscape, positioning the capital as a vibrant centre for artistic expression. Organised by the Visual Arts Commission, this event features both local and international artists across 13 venues. It seeks to redefine the conversation between art and society while showcasing Saudi Arabia's journey from preserving heritage to embracing modernity.

Running until , "Art Week Riyadh" offers a variety of activities including art exhibitions, interactive workshops, dialogue sessions, and visual art performances. These events cater to families and art enthusiasts of all ages. The initiative aims to foster cultural exchange by bringing together over 50 galleries, 200 artists, and 100 diverse events, highlighting Saudi Arabia's dynamic art scene on a global stage.

Art Week Riyadh Celebrates Global Arts

The JAX District hosts the main exhibition titled "At the Edge," featuring works from 30 galleries spanning local, regional, and international origins. This exhibition underscores the cultural dialogue between Saudi Arabia and the Middle East and North Africa region. Visitors have the opportunity to explore Saudi artists' creative processes through workshops on pottery, narrative drawing, and still life led by both Saudi and international artists.

Until , attendees can view artworks from prominent Saudi collections such as Ithra and the Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG). Additionally, the exhibition "Collections in Dialogue" presents works by international artists. This blend of local and global perspectives enriches the cultural tapestry of the event.

The LArt Pur Foundation's sculpture exhibition "A World of Silence," chaired by Princess Adwaa bint Yazeed bin Abdullah Al Saud, celebrates artistic dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Featuring works by eight artists, this exhibition highlights cross-cultural connections through art.

"Art Week Riyadh" exemplifies efforts by the Ministry of Culture to bolster the creative sector in alignment with Vision 2030. This vision recognises culture and arts as crucial components of the national economy and sources of inspiration for future generations.
