Aroya Cruises Launches Its First Mediterranean Voyage Featuring Authentic Arab Hospitality

Aroya Cruises, a subsidiary of Cruise Saudi and owned by the Public Investment Fund, has launched its first Mediterranean voyage. This journey began on June 28, offering a tourism experience infused with authentic Arab hospitality. The flagship vessel, AROYA, departed from Galataport in Istanbul for a seven-night cruise visiting Athens, Souda Bay, and Mykonos in Greece, then Bodrum in Türkiye, before returning to Istanbul on July 5.

Following the success of its Red Sea season, Aroya Cruises will continue Mediterranean voyages until mid-September 2025. These journeys offer diverse itineraries lasting six to seven nights. Destinations include Marmaris, Rhodes, Alexandria, and other notable coastal cities in Türkiye, Greece, and Egypt.

The expansion into European destinations aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals to boost tourism growth. Dr. Joerg Rudolph, President of Aroya Cruises, expressed pride in this milestone achieved just six months after launching cruise operations. "This expansion supports our commitment to enhancing the tourism sector," he stated.

The ship boasts world-class amenities such as a main pool area and a theater with daily entertainment. Guests can also enjoy a wellness center offering therapeutic treatments, spa services, a beauty clinic, and a fitness club.

A wide range of activities is available for all family members aboard the ship. These include an adventure zone, sports complex, water park, and one of the largest kids’ areas on any cruise ship. Culinary offerings feature 12 restaurants and 17 cafés serving a curated mix of Saudi and international cuisines.

This new venture by Aroya Cruises marks an important step in expanding its reach across prominent cruise destinations worldwide. The company aims to provide guests with an integrated tourism experience that reflects the rich culture of Arab hospitality while exploring some of the world's most beautiful coastal cities.
