Aramco's North Ghawar Oil Complex Achieves Global Lighthouse Network Recognition For Innovation

Aramco's North Ghawar Oil Producing Complex has joined the World Economic Forum's Global Lighthouse Network. This marks it as the fifth Aramco facility to be recognised for its extensive use of advanced Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies. These innovations enhance both operational and environmental performance. Only industrial sites that effectively implement 4IR technologies on a large scale are admitted to this esteemed network.

The inclusion of the North Ghawar facility follows four other Aramco sites: Uthmaniyah Gas Plant, Khurais oil complex, Abqaiq Plants, and Yanbu Refinery. The Global Lighthouse Network now encompasses 189 facilities worldwide. "Aramco, one of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, is currently the only global energy company to be represented by more than three facilities," stated the release.
