King Salman's Translation Project Targets One Billion Listeners For Arafat Sermon

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has launched a new initiative to translate sermons delivered at the Grand Mosque, Prophet's Mosque, and the Arafat sermon at Namira Mosque. Spearheaded by the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, this project aims to spread the message of moderation and centrism from these holy sites.

This year, the Arafat sermon translation is expected to reach one billion listeners worldwide, translated into 20 languages. The translated sermons promote peace, coexistence, and a deeper understanding of Islam – a religion built on mercy, tolerance, and peaceful living. Launched in 2018, the project initially offered translations in only five languages.

These efforts demonstrate the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to serving Islam and the global Muslim community.

Having surpassed 200 million listeners in 2020, the project fulfills the Kingdom's sacred responsibility of caring for the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. By translating the Arafat sermon, they effectively share the message of these holy sites with the entire Muslim world.

King Salman's initiative not only serves as a cornerstone in spreading messages of peace but also highlights Saudi Arabia's role in fostering global understanding. The translation project underscores the Kingdom's dedication to its religious duties while promoting values that resonate with Muslims worldwide.
