Arada Awards AED 145 Million Contract For New Sports Park At Aljada Megaproject In Sharjah

Arada has commissioned a contract worth AED145 million to construct a sports complex within its AED35 billion Aljada project in Sharjah. This facility will be situated in a 400,000 square foot landscaped park and will feature various sports amenities, including a full-size football pitch, smaller pitches for five-a-side games, and courts for basketball, padel tennis, volleyball, squash, and badminton.

Additional features of the complex include cycling and jogging tracks alongside adventure play areas designed for children. Visitors can also enjoy a water play area and two food and beverage outlets. One of these is the Reformatory Lab, an Australian coffee brand recently introduced to the UAE. Changing rooms and public amenities are also part of the plan.

The sports complex will have two underground parking levels to ensure easy access for visitors. This addition aims to accommodate the growing number of people spending time in the Aljada community. The contract was awarded to Civic Builders Trading & Contracting LLC from Dubai. Construction has already started with completion expected by late 2026.

Aljada spans 24 million square feet and includes 25,000 homes. It is designed as a transformative destination in Sharjah with multiple residential districts. The development integrates retail, hospitality, entertainment, sporting facilities, educational institutions, and healthcare services within an environmentally friendly urban master plan.
