Record-Breaking Arabian Travel Market 2024 To Transform Global Tourism

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM), a premier event for the global travel and tourism industry, is set to make its return to the Dubai World Trade Centre for its 31st edition. Scheduled from 6th to 9th May, the event anticipates over 41,000 attendees and will showcase 2,300 exhibitors from 165 countries. This year's ATM is themed ‘Empowering Innovation – Transforming Travel through Entrepreneurship’, highlighting the critical role of start-ups and entrepreneurs in driving the future of the sector.

The event will feature a four-day conference programme with more than 50 sessions led by over 200 distinguished speakers. These sessions will take place across the Global Stage and the newly introduced Future Stage. Issam Abdulrahim Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, is slated to deliver the Global Stage Welcome keynote, focusing on Dubai’s tourism objectives and future plans. A Ministerial Debate on the first day will discuss strategies to enhance tourism in the GCC region.

Additionally, the Market Insights Summit will explore the burgeoning tourism markets of China, India, and Latin America. The Future Stage will launch with discussions on hospitality trends in the Middle East and other topics like island tourism and global economic disruptions’ impact on travel.

Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME for ATM, noted the event's growth, with exhibitor participation up by 26% from last year, marking ATM 2024 as the largest in its history. This expansion reflects ATM's significance as a key networking platform in the travel industry.

The show has seen growth across all verticals, with notable increases from regions such as the Middle East (28%), Asia (34%), Europe (34%), and Africa (26%). The Travel Tech section has expanded by 58%, showcasing over 100 leading travel technology companies.

ATM 2024 continues to focus on sustainability, building on its previous theme and aligning with its 30 long-term sustainability goals. The Sustainability Summit on 9 May will address Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues, consumer preferences, and collaborative efforts towards a sustainable travel future. The event will also feature a Sustainable Stand Award to honor exhibitors who significantly reduce their carbon footprint.

The event is held in partnership with strategic partners including the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Emirates as the Official Airline Partner, IHG Hotels & Resorts as the Official Hotel Partner, and Al Rais Travel as the Official DMC Partner.
