Arabian Gulf Security 4 Begins In Qatar With UAE Participation And GCC Involvement
The State of Qatar has launched the Joint Tactical Exercise of the security agencies of the Gulf Cooperation Council, known as Arabian Gulf Security 4. Security units from all GCC member states are taking part, alongside specialised United States teams. A UAE security force is also participating in the regional exercise.
The Arabian Gulf Security 4 exercise runs until 4th February and includes more than 70 field scenarios. Organisers scheduled over 260 training hours for participating agencies. Drills cover counter-terrorism, organised crime and emergency response. They also address facility protection, command and control, and coordination between specialised operations rooms.

Arabian Gulf Security is considered a key training stage for the wider Gulf security system. The exercise offers a realistic operational setting that helps unify security concepts across forces. It strengthens coordination and field integration between agencies. It also supports multi-party responses to new and complex security challenges in the region.
The exercise opened under the patronage of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Qatari Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force "Lekhwiya". Senior security officials from GCC countries attended the launch. Heads of higher committees, along with commanders and officers of participating agencies, were also present.
Brigadier Abdulaziz Ahmad Al Hajri commands the UAE security force in Arabian Gulf Security 4. Al Hajri said the UAE’s participation reflects a commitment to developing Gulf security cooperation frameworks. Al Hajri noted the drills help test operational plans, build force efficiency and support the exchange of expertise with Gulf and partner security agencies.
