Arab Women Official Anthem Debuts For AWST 2026 In Sharjah
The 8th Arab Women Sports Tournament will introduce its official anthem, Arab Women, in 2026. The debut takes place during the opening ceremony at Al Majaz Theatre on 2nd February. The song becomes a cultural focal point for the event, which gathers competitors from across the Arab region in Sharjah.
Organised by Sharjah Women’s Sports, the Arab Women Sports Tournament 2026 runs from 2nd to 12th February. A total of 63 teams will contest nine sports. The anthem is produced by the Sharjah Family and Community Council Media Office. It comes under Sharjah Women’s Sports supervision and supports efforts to promote Arab women’s sport.

Arab Women is performed by Hussein Al Jassmi. Music is composed by Fayez Al Saeed, with lyrics by Abdul Salam Al Hammadi. Tournament Director Moza Al Shamsi said music plays a vital role in events. According to Al Shamsi, the anthem enhances the atmosphere and forms an emotional bridge with audiences.
Composer Fayez Al Saeed described the anthem as a high-energy piece for the competitive setting. It is intended to energise spectators and leave strong memories. Lyricist Abdul Salam Al Hammadi said the words reflect determination, belonging and unity. The lyrics are inspired by Sharjah’s hospitality and the tournament’s shared values.
Hussein Al Jassmi expressed pride in performing Arab Women. Al Jassmi noted that the work is supported and patronised by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi. She is Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council. The anthem strengthens the Arab Women Sports Tournament’s regional standing as one of the region’s leading women’s sporting events. It also supports Sharjah’s integration of sport, culture and creativity.
Tournament organisers say the anthem helps unify the championship’s artistic vision. It supports Arab women’s sport while strengthening its cultural and media presence. Arab Women will debut at Al Majaz Theatre on 2nd February. It is expected to carry the Arab Women Sports Tournament’s message beyond the competition days.
