Arab States Broadcasting Union Revitalises Media Activities In Syria To Enhance Regional Collaboration

The Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), led by Saudi Arabia, has decided to renew its media operations in Syria. The decision was made during ASBU's 113th Executive Council meeting, which included representatives from member states.

During the meeting, Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harthi, ASBU President and CEO of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA), highlighted the influence of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister supports Syria's reintegration into the Arab community. Al-Harthi stated, "Today, at the Arab States Broadcasting Union, we continue the humanitarian path initiated by HRH through the media, which we believe acts as a bridge for communication, a vehicle for raising awareness, and a tool for building a collective Arab future that reflects the aspirations of our peoples and respects the fabric of our societies."

The meeting also included an overview of ASBU's activities for the year. These activities encompass news and programming exchanges, coverage of significant regional and international events, and initiatives focused on training and media investment.
