Arab Plast 2025 Showcases UAE As Strategic Hub For Global Company Expansion
The UAE is increasingly recognised as a pivotal hub for global companies, especially in the plastics and petrochemicals sectors. This was highlighted during the 17th session of the international trade fair, Arab Plast 2025. The event, which continues until 9th January, has attracted numerous international participants who see the UAE as a strategic gateway to Middle Eastern and African markets.
Representatives from various international pavilions shared their perspectives with the Emirates News Agency (WAM). They noted that many global companies, particularly from Western countries, view the UAE as a prime location to establish a presence. The country is seen as one of the world's leading markets for business expansion.

Nidal Mohammed Kadar, the Exhibition Manager for Arabplast, emphasised that this event serves as a significant meeting point for showcasing innovations in the plastics sector. Over 750 companies are participating this year, focusing on sustainability and recycling to promote environmentally friendly solutions.
Kadar also highlighted Dubai's role as an ideal commercial environment for growth. He stated that Arabplast is more than just an exhibition; it is a platform to foster connections between local and international firms. This helps explore new partnerships supporting sustainable industry growth.
Florian Mikolasch, leading the German pavilion at the exhibition, stressed the importance of the UAE market in plastics and advanced machinery. Nearly 70 German companies are participating this year. Representing the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), Mikolasch noted that these companies cover diverse fields within the plastics industry.
Mikolasch expressed optimism about regional market opportunities. He mentioned that both the exhibition and UAE serve as gateways to various markets. Germany ranks as the second-largest supplier of advanced machinery to the UAE, highlighting strong trade relations between German and Emirati firms.
