Arab Parliament Speaker Announces Support For Palestinian Resilience Document At Emergency Summit In Egypt
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, announced that leaders of Arab councils and parliaments have agreed on a document to bolster the resilience of Palestinians. This document opposes displacement and annexation plans and will be presented at an emergency Arab summit in Egypt in early March.
Al Yamahi highlighted the Arab Parliament's unwavering support for Egypt's initiative to create a comprehensive plan for rebuilding the Gaza Strip. This plan aims to secure Palestinians' rights to remain on their land and establish their nation without existential threats.

He condemned plans targeting the Palestinian cause as blatant violations of Palestinians' legitimate rights, which are acknowledged globally. These plans also infringe upon the sovereignty of various Arab nations that have made significant sacrifices for Palestine.
Al Yamahi pointed out that these actions are attempts to distract from massacres and genocide in Gaza, as well as war crimes and settlement activities in the West Bank. He stressed that unity among Arab nations is crucial at this critical time.
The speaker reiterated full backing for all Arab states' positions against any proposals to displace Palestinians from their homeland. He emphasized that a united Arab stance is essential to defend against efforts to undermine the Palestinian cause.
Al Yamahi affirmed that these collective efforts aim to protect Palestinian rights and ensure their continued presence on their land. The upcoming summit in Egypt will further address these issues and seek solutions through collaboration among Arab nations.
The document adopted by Arab leaders underscores their commitment to supporting Palestinians and rejecting any measures that threaten their existence or territorial integrity. This unified approach seeks to uphold justice and peace in the region.
