Arab Parliament Speaker Highlights Importance Of Riyadh Summit Outcomes For Palestinian Justice
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, has praised Saudi Arabia's leadership in hosting the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit. The summit, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and supported by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, focused on advocating for Palestinian justice and unifying Arab and Islamic positions against aggression in Palestine and Lebanon.
Al Yamahi highlighted the summit's resolutions as pivotal in reinforcing Arab and Islamic principles regarding Palestine. These resolutions include rallying international support for Palestine's full United Nations membership. He emphasised that establishing an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital is essential for regional security and stability.

In his statement, Al Yamahi welcomed the outcomes of the Riyadh summit held recently. He described it as a crucial step towards enhancing Arab and Islamic solidarity. The summit aimed to mobilise global efforts to halt ongoing aggression against Palestinians and Lebanon, which has persisted for over a year.
The Riyadh summit also addressed urging the International Criminal Court to hold accountable those responsible for severe crimes. These include genocide, forced disappearances, mass graves, forced displacement, and other war crimes committed by the occupying entity.
Al Yamahi reiterated the Arab Parliament's commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at ending aggression on Gaza and Lebanon. He stressed that these efforts are not only Arab or Islamic but also involve international cooperation to address these pressing issues.
