Arab Parliament Seeks Immediate Action On Bahrain Summit's Palestinian Resolutions
The Palestine Committee of the Arab Parliament has urged the Arab League to expedite coordination with member states to implement decisions from the 33rd Arab Summit in Manama. This includes adding extremist Israeli organizations and groups to national Arab terrorism lists and announcing a list of Israeli figures promoting genocide against Palestinians. These steps aim to hold these figures accountable in both national and international courts.
The committee also called on the international community and the Security Council to pressure Israel to stop aggression, ethnic cleansing, and genocide in Gaza. They demanded a complete withdrawal from the strip and protection for unarmed civilians as per international law and relevant Security Council resolutions. The committee emphasized the need for swift, safe, and unhindered humanitarian aid delivery directly to needy civilians in Gaza, in line with Security Council Resolution 2720.

In addition, the committee reiterated its rejection of any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. They condemned all forms of displacement, including internal forced displacement, which violates international law. The committee stressed the importance of enabling Gaza residents to return to their homes they left due to aggression.
The Palestine Committee adopted a draft resolution on the situation in Palestine and another on the conditions of Palestinian women in occupied territories. These drafts will be presented at the general session of the Arab Parliament at the Arab League headquarters next Saturday. The meeting was attended by Shura Council member Assaf Abu Thunain, who is also part of the Foreign Affairs, Political, and National Security Committee of the Arab Parliament.
The committee's final report was issued during its fifth meeting chaired by Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi. This meeting focused on discussing recent developments in occupied Palestinian territories. The report included calls for expediting the mandate of the Arab group in New York to study steps to freeze Israel's participation in the United Nations General Assembly.
Furthermore, the committee condemned daily massacres committed by Israeli forces in Gaza. They highlighted that these actions are clear violations of international law and human rights. The committee urged continuous efforts to combat all forms of displacement affecting Palestinians.
The Palestine Committee's recommendations aim to address ongoing issues faced by Palestinians under occupation. By urging legal actions against those promoting violence and calling for humanitarian aid, they seek justice and relief for affected populations.
