Arab Network For Quality Assurance Conference Concludes With Key Recommendations In Riyadh
The 6th Conference of the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education wrapped up in Riyadh, drawing over 1,000 attendees from 30 countries and more than 110 Arab educational institutions. Organised by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC), the event focused on "Towards High-Impact Quality Assurance Practices: Stakeholder Engagement and Student Empowerment."
Throughout the three-day conference, participants explored Saudi Arabia's model for quality in education and training. This model emphasises measurement and evaluation to provide diagnostic data, fostering development and enhancing quality. It also involves stakeholders and students in evaluation and accreditation processes.

The conference underscored Saudi Arabia's leadership in quality assurance through ETEC. The Kingdom is recognised for its pioneering efforts in academic accreditation, aiming to ensure high-quality education and training. This commitment is evident in the issuance of over 500 institutional and program accreditation decisions, averaging more than 40 each month during 2025.
Hosting this event highlights Saudi Arabia's dedication to transforming education quality through comprehensive practices that leverage technology and data. The conference served as a platform for exchanging expertise between Arab bodies, academics, and researchers, culminating in key recommendations.
The opening ceremony was graced by various dignitaries, including presidents of Saudi universities, members of ETEC's board of directors, along with notable Arab and international experts and decision-makers. Their presence emphasised the significance of the event in advancing quality assurance practices across the region.
The gathering facilitated knowledge transfer among participants from diverse backgrounds. It aimed to empower students by involving them actively in quality assurance processes, ensuring their voices are heard in shaping educational standards.
