Arab League Chief Denounces Israeli Military Operations In West Bank

Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit has condemned the Israeli military operation in the West Bank. The offensive has led to over 11 Palestinian deaths and a widespread blockade on major cities. Aboul Gheit described these actions as "brutal incursions and attacks" and highlighted the destruction of infrastructure and hospital sieges.

Aboul Gheit stressed that the international community must not remain passive amid this escalation. He warned that such actions push the region towards instability, potentially igniting further conflicts. He urged global leaders to address this situation urgently.

Arab League Critiques Israel in West Bank

The Secretary-General criticised the United States for failing to pressure Israel adequately. He accused the U.S. of yielding to Israeli tactics and lacking genuine intent to end the aggression in Gaza. Aboul Gheit called for a clear stance from the U.S. on Israel's latest military actions in the West Bank.

According to Aboul Gheit, Israel's recent operations aim to make life unbearable for Palestinians in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip. He stated that these actions are part of a broader strategy to displace Palestinians and undermine their cause.

He added that these operations are not connected to the October 7 attacks but are intended to subjugate Palestinians. The goal, he said, is to re-annex Palestinian lands and implement extreme right-wing agendas.

"The brutal incursions and attacks, and the killing operations" carried out by the occupation in northern West Bank cities, as well as the destruction of infrastructure and the siege of hospitals, "represent a dangerous trend aimed at subjugating the Palestinian people, overturning the remnants of signed agreements, and re-annexing Palestinian lands in implementation of the agenda of the extreme right-wing," said Aboul Gheit.

Call for Action

Aboul Gheit emphasised that immediate action is necessary to prevent further deterioration. He highlighted that ongoing intimidation tactics are being used against Palestinians, including bloodshed aimed at displacement schemes.

"The latest Israeli operation in the West Bank is not related to the October 7 attacks but rather aims to make Palestinian life impossible on their land," he said. This statement underscores his belief that Israel's actions are part of a larger plan against Palestinians.

The Arab League leader concluded by urging decisive international intervention to halt these aggressive measures. He warned that without such intervention, regional stability remains at significant risk.
