Riyadh Hosts Arab Forum To Bolster Anti-Corruption And Financial Intelligence
The Arab Forum of Anti-Corruption Agencies and Financial Intelligence Units commenced on Wednesday in Riyadh, attracting 600 experts and 75 speakers. Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, the event includes participation from financial intelligence units, anti-corruption agencies, government entities, and international organizations.
The forum aims to establish a clear path for cooperation among government entities in Saudi Arabia and relevant bodies both regionally and globally. It serves as a platform for local and international experts and academic institutions to collaborate. Additionally, it presents a strategic opportunity to unify efforts among institutions in combating financial crimes.

During the opening ceremony, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Howairini, Head of the Presidency of State Security, emphasized the significance of global stability and the integrity of security and economic situations. He highlighted money laundering and terrorism financing activities as major risks that necessitate active international cooperation.
Al-Howairini commended Saudi Arabia's efforts in combating these risks through legislation, regulatory policies, and exchanging information and expertise with countries and global organizations. He stressed the importance of continued collaboration to address these challenges effectively.
Commitment to Saudi Vision 2030
Mazin Al-Kahmous, President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), underscored the Kingdom's commitment to achieving Saudi Vision 2030. He affirmed that transforming this vision into a successful anti-corruption model is crucial. Al-Kahmous highlighted the forum's role in promoting local cooperation and exchanging expertise among anti-corruption agencies and financial intelligence units.
Al-Kahmous added that the forum represents a strategic opportunity to unify the efforts of various institutions in tackling challenges related to combating financial crime. He emphasized the importance of enhancing both local and international efforts in this regard.
