Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy Announces Open Admissions For Post-Graduate Diploma In UAE Diplomacy

The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) has opened admissions for its 2025-2026 academic year. The Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in UAE Diplomacy and International Relations is now accepting applications. This initiative, themed "We Invest in Tomorrow," underscores AGDA’s dedication to developing future Emirati diplomats and international affairs experts.

Applications for the PGD programme begin on 24th February and close on April 6th, 2025. Prospective students can apply through agda.ac.ae/PGD. The programme is designed to address the needs of today’s fast-paced international affairs environment, providing students with essential skills in diplomacy.

AGDA Opens Admissions for PGD Programme

The one-year PGD course offers comprehensive training in modern diplomacy. Students develop skills such as research, negotiation, and communication in English and Arabic, while also learning a third language. Training includes protocol, etiquette, consular diplomacy, and crisis management.

Applicants must be UAE nationals or children of Emirati women under 35 years old. A Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA of at least 3.0 is required. English proficiency must be demonstrated with an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent TOEFL scores.

An Open Day will be held on 27th February from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at AGDA. This event allows prospective students to explore the academy’s offerings and interact with faculty members. It provides a platform for potential applicants to understand the programme better.

Nickolay Mladenov, Director-General of AGDA, stated, "At AGDA, we are not just educating future diplomats—we are empowering a new generation of Emirati leaders with the skills, agility, and strategic vision to navigate the complexities of modern diplomacy."

Transformational Learning Experience

Dr. Mohammed Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director-General of AGDA, highlighted that the PGD programme is more than just academics; it is a transformative journey preparing students for leadership roles in diplomacy. The curriculum includes practical simulations and high-level policy discussions.

Male candidates must have completed national service. All applicants should be ready to travel and represent their country internationally. This requirement ensures that graduates are prepared for global diplomatic responsibilities.

The academy’s mission is to equip students with expertise to influence global discussions and advance UAE foreign policy priorities effectively. Graduates emerge as well-rounded diplomats capable of driving meaningful change on the international stage.
