Annual Bridges Forum In Madinah Concludes With Focus On Enhancing Hajj Services And Collaboration
The "Bridges" Forum, an annual event organised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, concluded in Madinah. Over 40 ambassadors and consuls from the European Union, Britain, the Americas, and representatives from various Asian and African countries attended. The forum focused on enhancing the Hajj experience through discussions and exchanges of ideas.
An exhibition was held alongside the forum, featuring several accredited Hajj providers from the "Nusuk Hajj" platform. This platform plays a crucial role in streamlining Hajj procedures and increasing pilgrim numbers from participating countries. The event aimed to strengthen ties with direct Hajj countries and showcase Saudi Arabia's initiatives in serving pilgrims.

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfig Al-Rabiah highlighted efforts to serve pilgrims under the guidance of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He noted that leadership dedication has significantly increased visitors to Makkah and Madinah, reaching about 18.5 million in 2024. The "Nusuk Hajj" platform enhances competitiveness by providing optimal services through efficient procedures.
The minister emphasised ongoing efforts to develop historical sites, aligning with the "Pilgrim Experience Program". This initiative aims to ease pilgrim arrivals while enriching their experiences in Makkah and Madinah. The program seeks to improve visitor experiences by enhancing historical locations.
Al-Rabiah expressed a desire for international collaboration to combat fraudulent practices in Hajj and Umrah services. He honoured embassies for educating pilgrims about the direct Hajj platform, praising their role in raising awareness and improving coordination for a smoother pilgrimage journey.
The Ministry also organised an introductory tour of several historical sites in Madinah. This tour aimed to enrich participants' understanding of the city's cultural heritage.
