Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman To Present Annual Address At Shura Council On Saudi Policies

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, will deliver the annual royal address on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This event marks the start of the ninth session of the Shura Council on Wednesday. The council members, appointed by Royal Decree, will take their oath before the Crown Prince.

The Shura Council Speaker, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, expressed the council's privilege in hearing the royal address delivered by the Crown Prince. This address will outline Saudi Arabia's domestic and international policies and its stance on regional issues, as required by Article 14 of the Shura Council's bylaws.

Crown Prince to Address Shura Council Tomorrow

Dr. Al Al-Sheikh conveyed gratitude to King Salman and the Crown Prince for forming the council's ninth session through a Royal Decree. He aims to meet the expectations of Saudi leadership by contributing to national development with support from the leadership. The speaker highlighted ongoing successes and progress under Vision 2030.

The Shura Council has been guided annually by the royal address in its operations and decisions. Over four years in its eighth session, it made 1,510 decisions across 191 sessions. In its fourth year alone, 44 meetings led to 493 decisions.

Dr. Al Al-Sheikh emphasized that Saudi Arabia is experiencing a sustainable development renaissance under King Salman's leadership and Vision 2030. The council is committed to aligning with these goals to enhance national growth and prosperity.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh prayed for divine guidance for Saudi leadership in pursuing righteousness and maintaining security and faith in the nation while protecting it from harm.
