AMMROC Strengthens Defence Cooperation With AOI Through Three Strategic MoUs At EDEX 2025

The Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Centre (AMMROC) has entered into three significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) in Egypt. These agreements aim to boost collaboration in industrial and technical areas, focusing on aircraft components, systems, and engine parts. The MoUs were signed during AMMROC's participation at the International Defence Exhibition "EDEX 2025" in Egypt.

The agreements were formalised at the Egyptian Pavilion with key figures present, including Dr. Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi from Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement and Mahmood Alhay Alhameli of Abu Dhabi Aviation. Jasem Al Marzooqi, CEO of AMMROC, and Major General Engineer Mukhtar Abdel Latif from AOI signed the MoUs. These partnerships reflect AMMROC’s dedication to enhancing industrial ties and technical cooperation in aircraft maintenance.

AMMROC Signs MoUs with AOI at EDEX 2025

AMMROC showcased models of F-16 and C-130 aircraft platforms at EDEX Egypt. The company engaged with partners and visitors to demonstrate its capabilities and explore new collaboration opportunities. This exhibition highlighted AMMROC's commitment to expanding its presence in the military aviation sector.

One MoU with the AOI Aircraft Factory establishes a framework for cooperation in manufacturing components for fixed-wing aircraft, jet aircraft, and unmanned aerial systems. It includes aligning production capabilities with AMMROC programmes and setting up dedicated manufacturing cells or lines. The agreement also covers knowledge transfer, technical training, and preparing joint proposals for regional markets.

Another MoU with the AOI Engine Factory aims to enhance cooperation in engine parts manufacturing using digital technologies. This includes specific engine maintenance tasks, manufacturing components like rotating parts, housings, frames, shafts, and collaborating on treatments required for engine parts. Joint technical training programmes are also part of this agreement.

Enhancing Helicopter Maintenance

A third MoU was signed with Helwan Factory for Advanced Industries to develop helicopter maintenance capabilities. This agreement focuses on MRO services for helicopter components and systems, as well as manufacturing or modifying selected parts for AMMROC’s platforms. It also includes developing upgrade programmes, structural work, establishing production lines or workshops, and implementing joint training initiatives.

Dr. Nasser Al Nuaimi stated that these agreements mark a crucial step in advancing industrial integration between the UAE and Egypt. He emphasised that these partnerships build advanced capabilities rooted in modern technology to support high operational readiness.

Mahmood Alhay Alhameli highlighted the strategic importance of expanding regional partnerships in Egypt due to its potential and advanced capabilities. He noted that integrating strengths with expertise supports long-term collaboration efforts through AMMROC’s ecosystem.

Jasem Al Marzooqi expressed that AMMROC’s participation at EDEX 2025 underscores their commitment to strengthening regional presence and international partnerships in military aviation. He added that these MoUs reinforce shared visions with Egyptian partners to advance industrial capabilities.

These agreements reflect AMMROC's ongoing efforts to enhance military fleet readiness by expanding service scope while reinforcing UAE's position as a regional hub in aviation maintenance repair overhaul (MRO).
