AMMROC And Marshall Forge Strategic Partnership To Enhance C-130 Fleet Readiness At IDEX 2025
AMMROC, a leader in military maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services in the region, has entered into a strategic service agreement with Marshall, a British aerospace engineering services provider. This collaboration aims to enhance the maintenance and operational readiness of the C-130 fleet by upgrading and modernising aircraft. The partnership seeks to improve operational capabilities and extend the service life of these aircraft.
The agreement marks an important step for both companies, focusing on advancing C-130 fleet maintenance. By combining their expertise, AMMROC and Marshall aim to optimise fleet performance and ensure mission readiness for defence customers in the UAE and beyond. The collaboration will provide comprehensive MRO solutions that align with global military standards.

The signing ceremony took place during IDEX 2025's opening day. Key figures present included Jasem Al Marzooqi, CEO of AMMROC, and John Davis from Marshall’s Aero Engineering Services. The agreement outlines an 18-month joint project where Marshall will support AMMROC in achieving UAE Military Design Organisation Approval (MDOA).
A significant aspect of this partnership is its focus on local capability development. Structured knowledge transfer and specialised training programs will be facilitated, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global hub for defence aviation excellence. This initiative aims to enhance local expertise in defence aviation maintenance.
Marshall plans to send engineers to AMMROC’s advanced MRO facilities in Al Ain as part of this project. The collaboration will strengthen operational efficiency and long-term performance by providing engineering, technical support, and fleet readiness solutions for C-130 aircraft.
Commitment to Defence Aviation Excellence
Jasem Al Marzooqi expressed that this agreement highlights the strategic nature of their collaboration with Marshall. He stated that it reaffirms AMMROC’s commitment to driving excellence in defence aviation maintenance. "By strengthening this partnership, we are reinforcing our position as a trusted service provider for defence forces while expanding the UAE’s leadership in advanced MRO solutions."
Bob Baxter from Marshall shared his enthusiasm about formalising their partnership with AMMROC through this joint project. He noted that combining Marshall’s expertise with AMMROC’s capabilities ensures delivery of effective solutions that enhance fleet performance globally.
This partnership follows a Memorandum of Understanding announced earlier in 2025. It deepens the relationship between AMMROC and Marshall, paving the way for advancements in MRO capabilities. The agreement underscores the strategic importance of supporting regional and international defence aviation efforts.
The collaboration leverages Marshall's expertise in aircraft sustainment alongside AMMROC's facilities and regional presence. This synergy aims to bolster aerospace capabilities within the region, supporting long-term growth and self-sufficiency in defence aviation maintenance.
The new strategic service agreement signifies a commitment to enhancing local capabilities while ensuring mission readiness for military operators worldwide. By delivering tailored solutions aligned with best practices, both companies aim to optimise fleet performance effectively.
In summary, this partnership between AMMROC and Marshall represents a significant milestone towards advancing C-130 fleet maintenance capabilities while reinforcing regional aerospace strengths through collaborative efforts focused on innovation and excellence within the industry.
