AMMROC And Boeing Sign MoU To Enhance Component Maintenance And Industrial Initiatives

The Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Center (AMMROC) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Boeing Global Services. This agreement, signed at the Dubai Airshow 2025, aims to explore collaboration in component maintenance, repair, and overhaul services. The focus is on industrial initiatives that could enhance both parties' capabilities.

Under this MoU, AMMROC and Boeing will investigate opportunities for CH-47 aircraft component maintenance. This includes parts related to hydraulics, landing gear, electrical systems, and drive systems. The exploration is subject to US State Department Export Authorisation.

AMMROC and Boeing Sign MoU for Collaboration

Both organisations plan to jointly assess these potential work opportunities. They may decide to formalise their relationship through a separate written agreement. This would define their specific contractual obligations and responsibilities.

The MoU also supports industrial participation requirements between Boeing and the UAE Government. Any resulting projects or agreements might be considered as offset credit. This would help fulfil Boeing’s industrial participation requirements under the Programme.

Jasem Al Marzooqi, CEO of AMMROC, stated, "This agreement reflects AMMROC’s focus on building productive partnerships with leading international organizations. Through this collaboration, we aim to identify new opportunities that strengthen our technical cooperation and create added value across component MRO services."

He further expressed satisfaction in working with Boeing to explore future support opportunities for their fleet. He noted that this step lays the groundwork for initiatives that can improve efficiency and foster collaboration in aviation sustainment.

Regional Aerospace Growth

Matt Fishering from Boeing commented on the partnership's potential: "We are excited about the potential of this partnership with AMMROC," he said. "Together, we can contribute to the growth of the aerospace industry in the region."

This MoU highlights AMMROC’s role as a significant player in promoting innovation within the MRO sector. It aims to boost efficiency and self-reliance in military aviation support.
