Ajman Executive Council Approves Balanced Summer Initiative To Enhance Employee Work-Life Balance

The Ajman Executive Council, led by H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, recently approved the "Balanced Summer" initiative. This initiative is designed to improve work-life balance for Ajman Government employees during the summer months. It aligns with the "Year of Community" initiatives, aiming to enhance employee quality of life and family cohesion.

From July 1 to August 22, 2025, all government employees in Ajman will work remotely on Fridays. Additionally, working hours from Monday to Thursday will be reduced to seven hours, from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. These changes ensure essential services continue without disruption through flexible internal arrangements.

He stated that family and social stability are crucial for the emirate’s development and human well-being is key to enhancing institutional efficiency and government performance.

The initiative also aims to promote environmental sustainability by reducing commuting emissions. This aligns with Ajman Vision 2030's goals of building a more balanced and sustainable society. The Human Resources Department- Ajman will oversee its implementation in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Executive Council.

The Human Resources Department will develop flexible organisational models for this initiative. They will submit an evaluation report by September 2025 on its impact on performance, employee satisfaction, and community well-being. The "Balanced Summer" initiative reflects Ajman's commitment to employee welfare by offering a flexible work environment that balances personal and professional life.

H.H. Sheikh Ammar remarked, "Through the 'Balanced Summer’ initiative, we aim to promote environmental sustainability by reducing daily commuting emissions, in alignment with the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030 to build a more balanced and sustainable society."
