The Tour of AlUla 2025 has begun, drawing top cyclists from around the globe to this historic oasis. This event highlights AlUla as a leading destination for cycling enthusiasts worldwide. Now in its fifth year, it is a significant part of the Asian Tour calendar under the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), featuring Olympic champions and winners from major international races.

AlUla's cycling infrastructure has expanded significantly, with tracks increasing from 45 to 68 kilometers. The northern areas, including Hegra and Shlal, now feature an additional 23 kilometers of tracks. This development makes AlUla an appealing location for both professional and amateur cyclists.

Beyond professional racing, the event encourages grassroots participation. After the opening stage on Tuesday, 25 students joined a training ride led by Marwa Adel, Saudi Arabia’s first female professional cyclist and a member of Team Jayco–AlUla. These young riders interacted with international athletes and took part in a dedicated race.
