AlUla Expands Winter Air Service With 27 Weekly Flights To Enhance Access To Northwest Arabia

AlUla is preparing for a bustling winter season with more international flights, making it easier to reach this oasis in northwest Arabia. The expanded flight network includes services to key regional destinations and connections through global hubs.

From now until the end of the season, AlUla International Airport will host 27 flights weekly. This includes three weekly flights via Doha by Qatar Airways and the return of Royal Jordanian’s twice-weekly service between AlUla and Amman.

Qatar Airways' service from Doha connects AlUla with visitors worldwide, thanks to its hub at Hamad International Airport. With regular flights to over 90 countries, this route opens up northwest Arabia to potential tourists from every continent.

The AlUla–Amman route is more than just a flight path; it strengthens cultural ties between regions influenced by the ancient Nabataean civilization. This connection links Jordan’s Petra with AlUla’s Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The winter schedule for AlUla includes various airlines offering multiple flights. SAUDIA operates two daily flights: one from Riyadh and another from Jeddah. Flynas provides five weekly flights: from Riyadh on Monday, Friday, and Sunday, and from Dammam on Thursday and Saturday.

Flydubai offers three weekly flights between Dubai and AlUla on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Qatar Airways flies three times a week from Doha on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Royal Jordanian operates two weekly flights from Amman on Thursday and Sunday.
