AlUla Arts Festival 2026 To Feature Diverse Artistic Programs And Exhibitions Starting January 16
The AlUla Arts Festival is set to commence its fifth edition on January 16, transforming the historic AlUla Oasis into a vibrant hub for contemporary art, design, and culture. This year's festival is described as the most expansive and diverse yet, featuring art exhibitions, performances, and immersive experiences that enrich the cultural landscape of the region.
Desert X AlUla returns for its fourth edition from January 16 to February 28. This year's theme, "Space Without Measure," draws inspiration from Gibran Khalil Gibran's writings. The installations serve as luminous points, mapping an expansive realm of imagination that explores the interplay between art and nature.

The festival will also feature "Arduna" Exhibition from January 15 to April 15. It showcases over 80 artworks by artists from Saudi Arabia, the region, and around the world. This exhibition highlights humanity's relationship with nature and forms part of the preparatory program for the upcoming Contemporary Art Museum in AlUla.
AlJadidah Arts District will transform into a dynamic creative hub during the festival. It will showcase new artwork along Incense Road and include performances by the AlUla Music Hub. Saudi artist Sara Abdu will present an exhibition at Athr Gallery.
Visitors can engage directly with artisans at Madrasat Addeera, where traditional crafts are revitalized with a contemporary approach. Cinema AlJadidah will screen a selection of documentary and short films focused on art.
Design Space AlUla highlights the governorate’s growing role as a global creative hub through the AlUla Design Exhibition. It features works produced under residency programs and showcases winners of the AlUla Design Award.
Photography and Performing Arts
Villa Hegra will host a photography exhibition featuring rare images from the early 20th century alongside contemporary visual shows capturing desert scenes through Saudi filmmaker Saad Tahaitah's lens. Additionally, "Vertige" will be presented in partnership with France's Chaillot theatre, featuring performers from AlUla's community.
The festival offers an integrated artistic experience in one of the world's notable natural destinations. It further cements AlUla’s position as an international platform for arts and creativity.
