Minister Abdullah Bin Amer Alswaha Engages With Technology Leaders At World Economic Forum In Davos
Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Alswaha, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, engaged in discussions with top technology leaders during the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. His participation aimed to boost partnerships in technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation, supporting Saudi Arabia's digital economy growth.
Alswaha met with Ashwini Vaishnaw, India's Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, Electronics & Information Technology. They explored ways to bolster the digital economy, innovation, and manufacturing. The meeting also reviewed joint initiatives under the Saudi-Indian Partnership Council.

In a significant meeting with Satya Nadella, Microsoft's chief executive and chairman of the board of directors, Alswaha discussed enhancing technical investments. Their focus was on high-capacity cloud computing and AI to support digital economy growth in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East through its strategic location.
Alswaha also held talks with Larry Fink, BlackRock's chairman and chief executive. They explored opportunities to strengthen investment partnerships in innovation and AI projects. This aligns with Saudi Arabia's goal of attracting global investments in technology sectors.
The minister met with Lenovo's chairman and chief executive Yuanqing Yang to discuss potential partnerships in manufacturing and technology projects within Saudi Arabia. They reviewed the progress of Lenovo's plans and investments in the Kingdom.
In another discussion focused on modern technologies, Alswaha met Cristiano Amon, Qualcomm's president and chief executive. They talked about expanding partnership opportunities in developing AI and smart-network technologies to enhance digital economy growth and sustainability.
Cloud Computing Advancements
Alswaha also engaged with Antonio Neri, president and chief executive of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). Their conversation centered on strategic partnerships in technology and cloud computing. HPE's efforts to localize servers in Saudi Arabia were highlighted as a means to boost local content and support digital economy growth.
