Rail Services Between Algeria And Tunisia Resume After 30 Years
The National Company for Rail Transport in Algeria has announced the resumption of rail services between Algeria and Tunisia after nearly 30 years, according to media reports.
The revealed that the official launch occurred on Saturday. The first commercial journey is set to depart from Tunis on Sunday, with the inaugural service from Annaba scheduled for Tuesday.

The train will travel a distance of 357 kilometers. It will feature two first-class carriages and two second-class carriages, accommodating up to 300 passengers per trip.
Rail services between Algeria and Tunisia were suspended in 1995 due to security concerns. Although operations resumed in 2003, they were halted again because of "technical issues."
