Alfardan Group's AED 50 Million Contribution Bolsters Mothers’ Education Endowment

In a significant philanthropic move, Alfardan Group has pledged AED 50 million to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, an initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This campaign aims to establish an AED 1 billion endowment fund dedicated to supporting educational initiatives globally. The contribution from Alfardan Group, spread over five years, underscores the campaign's goal to honour mothers and their pivotal role in education.

Dr. Mahdi Al Fardan, Vice Chairman of Alfardan Group, expressed his pride in contributing to such a meaningful cause. He highlighted the campaign as an inspiring initiative by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reflecting the UAE's commitment to humanitarian efforts and the importance of education in underprivileged communities.

AED 50M Boost for Mothers’ Education Fund

The Mothers’ Endowment campaign, part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), was launched during the holy month of Ramadan. It encourages donations in honour of mothers, recognizing their fundamental role in nurturing and educating generations. This initiative also aims to revive the tradition of endowments as a sustainable development tool, promoting values such as honour, kindness, compassion, and community solidarity.

Contributions to the endowment fund can be made through various channels. These include the campaign’s official website (Mothersfund.ae), a dedicated call centre via toll-free number (800 9999), bank transfers to Emirates Islamic Bank (AE790340003708472909201), and SMS donations for Etisalat by e& users by sending "Mother" to numbers (1034, 1035, 1036, 1038). Additionally, donations can be made through the DubaiNow app under the "Donations" tab and Jood (Jood.ae), Dubai’s community contributions platform.

This initiative not only highlights the importance of supporting education across the globe but also emphasizes the cultural significance of honouring mothers and their contributions to society. Through such campaigns, Alfardan Group and other contributors are playing a crucial role in fostering a culture of giving and making a sustainable impact on global education.
