GCC Secretary General Albudaiwi Urges Global Action To Halt Israeli Aggression In Gaza Strip

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Albudaiwi, has urged the global community to urgently address the severe Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip. He highlighted that a year after Israeli military actions began, conditions in Gaza have worsened significantly. Albudaiwi called for immediate international intervention to halt these actions and provide humanitarian aid.

Albudaiwi stressed the need for decisive steps to end the violence against Palestinians. He urged lifting the blockade and opening crossings to ease Palestinian suffering. The GCC consistently advocates for holding those accountable for crimes against humanity, including the Israeli government for its forces' violations.

Albudaiwi Calls for Action on Gaza Aggression

Protecting civilians, especially those in relief roles, is crucial as they face significant risks while performing their duties. Albudaiwi emphasized this point, highlighting the dangers faced by humanitarian workers in conflict zones like Gaza.

The GCC member states remain committed to supporting the Palestinian cause. They advocate for an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the 1967 borders. This stance aligns with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant United Nations resolutions.

Albudaiwi called for regional and international efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire in Gaza. Providing essential aid to Palestinians is vital for fostering stability and security in the region.

He reiterated that accountability is crucial for those responsible for crimes against humanity. The GCC urges holding Israel accountable for its forces' actions against Palestinians.

The call from Albudaiwi underscores a pressing need for global action to address ongoing issues in Gaza. His statements reflect a broader regional desire for peace and justice in Palestine.
