Al Yamuna Densons Boosts RAK Operations With AED 35 Million Facility Expansion

A leading Indian manufacturer of power cable joining kits, Al Yamuna Densons, is set to significantly enhance its operations in the Middle East with a substantial investment of AED35 million in Ras Al Khaimah. This investment aims to expand the company's facility in the Al Hamra Industrial Zone, with completion targeted for May. The expansion will increase the total area to 15,000 m2 and boost the annual production capacity to half a million kits.

Al Yamuna Densons, with a history spanning over 50 years, ventured into the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) in 2013 by establishing an assembling unit. The company has since been at the forefront of providing innovative solutions to the power distribution industry. It serves a wide market, including the UAE, Oman, KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain, Algeria, Egypt, and Malaysia. Notable clients include Abu Dhabi Distribution Co., Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and Etihad Water & Electricity in the UAE, along with other major clients across the region such as Saudi Electricity Company and Sonelgaz in Algeria.

AED 35M Boost for RAK Facility

The expansion marks a pivotal shift in the company's operational capabilities from merely assembling imported goods to manufacturing all cable parts and assembling kits on-site in Ras Al Khaimah. This move is expected to create an additional 120 jobs, significantly enhancing its workforce.

CEO Ravi Sardana commented on the expansion decision, highlighting Ras Al Khaimah's business-friendly environment and superior infrastructure as key factors. He praised RAKEZ for its unmatched support and effective platform that has facilitated the company's growth over the years.

The investment includes nearly AED20 million in construction and an additional AED15 million in machinery. With this investment, Al Yamuna Densons aims to target new markets in the MENA region while upholding the highest standards of quality and innovation.

RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad expressed pride in Al Yamuna Densons' growth within RAKEZ. He emphasized that their expansion underscores the success companies can achieve in Ras Al Khaimah through supportive infrastructure and a conducive business ecosystem. Jallad reaffirmed RAKEZ's commitment to fostering industrial excellence and economic diversity in the region.

This expansion by Al Yamuna Densons not only signifies a major leap in its manufacturing capabilities but also underscores Ras Al Khaimah's growing appeal as a hub for industrial innovation and economic development in the Middle East.
