Al Waseef Group Donates AED 2 Million To Support Global Education Through Mothers’ Endowment
In a significant move to support global education, Al Waseef Group has pledged AED2 million to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, an initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. This campaign aims to establish an AED1 billion endowment fund dedicated to enhancing the educational opportunities for millions worldwide. The initiative falls under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and seeks to honour mothers by allowing donors to contribute in their names, thereby aiding underprivileged communities through sustainable educational support.
Ubaid Memoni, Vice Chairman of Al Waseef Group, emphasized the campaign's role as a beacon of kindness from the UAE to the world's underprivileged communities. He highlighted the initiative's goal to empower children and youth through education, thereby improving their life conditions. "Education plays a very vital role in today’s world and we believe this initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum will definitely play a very big role in educating millions of students who are in need," Memoni stated. He expressed pride in participating in the campaign, reaffirming Al Waseef Group's commitment to supporting charitable efforts in the UAE aimed at preserving human dignity and enhancing global living standards.

The Mothers’ Endowment campaign is part of a series of Ramadan charity drives initiated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which have historically seen a tremendous outpouring of support and exceeded their goals. This campaign not only aims to promote values such as honouring parents and fostering kindness, compassion, and solidarity but also underscores the pivotal role mothers play in nurturing families and supporting their children’s education. Furthermore, it reinforces the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian causes by creating a sustainable endowment for education and empowerment of underprivileged groups.
How to Contribute
The campaign continues to accept donations from both institutions and individuals through various channels. Contributions can be made through the official website (mothersfund.ae), a dedicated call centre via toll-free number (800 9999), bank transfers in UAE dirham to Emirates Islamic Bank (AE790340003708472909201), and SMS donations for Etisalat by e& users by sending "Mother" to numbers (1034, 1035, 1036, 1038). Additionally, donations can be made via the DubaiNow app under the "Donations" tab and through Dubai’s community contributions platform Jood.
This initiative not only highlights the UAE's ongoing commitment to global humanitarian efforts but also sets a precedent for how nations can contribute towards a more educated and empowered future generation. Through such campaigns, the UAE continues to extend its support beyond its borders, aiming to make a lasting impact on global education systems and underprivileged communities.
