Al Qasimia University Introduces New Master's Programmes In Arabic Language And Jurisprudence
The Board of Trustees at Al Qasimia University (AQU) has given the green light for new master's programmes in jurisprudence and Arabic language and literature. This decision follows the approval from the Academic Accreditation Commission under the UAE's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The announcement was made during the board's regular meeting for the 2024-2025 academic year, held at AQU's Sharjah headquarters.
During this meeting, led by Jamal Salem Al Turaifi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and President of AQU, several key decisions were made. The board approved the graduation of the eighth batch of students who have fulfilled their bachelor's programme requirements across five colleges. Additionally, they discussed the university's annual plan for 2024-2025 and introduced a new strategic plan for 2025-2030.

Professor Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of AQU, provided comprehensive reports on the university's performance over the past academic year. He outlined achievements in education, scientific research, community service, and collaborations with international institutions. The work plan for 2024/2025 was also presented to ensure continued progress in these areas.
The board expressed their gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who founded AQU. They praised his visionary leadership and ongoing support that has bolstered AQU's status as a global academic hub.
The board reviewed reports from various committees focusing on resource development, academic affairs, auditing, recruitment, and international relations. These committees are instrumental in enhancing students' academic experiences through initiatives that develop their skills and abilities.
