Al-Khandaq Mosque: A Beacon Of Islamic Heritage In Madinah

Madinah, a city revered for its historical and religious significance, offers a unique experience for visitors and Umrah performers. Among the myriad of spiritual sites, Al-Khandaq Mosque emerges as a focal point of historical and religious importance. Located on the northwestern side of the Prophet's Mosque and the western side of Mount Sela, this mosque is part of the esteemed area known as the seven mosques. This site is historically significant as it witnessed the strategic digging of the trench in the fifth year of the Prophet's Hijrah, a pivotal moment aimed at fortifying Madinah during the Battle of the Trench.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) recently showcased scenes from inside Al-Khandaq Mosque, shedding light on the array of services provided to fasting individuals and worshippers during Ramadan. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has joined forces with various charities and voluntary organizations to offer guidance services and Iftar meals throughout the holy month. This initiative underscores the commitment to catering to the spiritual and physical well-being of worshippers during this sacred period.
