Al-Jouf International Agricultural Forum Highlights Investment Opportunities And Olive Oil Laboratory Launch
The third edition of the Al-Jouf International Agricultural Forum ended yesterday after wide participation and activities. The event centred on agricultural sustainability, investment opportunities, and advanced technology. Organisers highlighted outcomes aimed at strengthening food security and improving the economic return of regional agricultural products.
Participants agreed on several recommendations. These included increasing the added value of crops in Al-Jouf Region and supporting partnerships between government bodies and private investors. The forum also stressed training Saudi talent in agricultural technology and research to support long-term resource sustainability.

The Al-Jouf International Agricultural Forum drew more than 37 agricultural companies and projects from Saudi Arabia and other countries. A group of international experts and investors attended, sharing technical knowledge and investment experience. The presence of these specialists supported discussions on best practices and modern solutions for the sector.
The scientific sessions and exhibition within the Al-Jouf International Agricultural Forum presented global developments in farm management. Topics included the use of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. These tools are being used to save water, raise productivity, and support the Kingdom’s broader food security strategy.
A key development at the Al-Jouf International Agricultural Forum was the launch of an olive oil quality testing laboratory. The facility offers specialised services to farmers, helping improve the commercial value of Saudi olive oil. It also aims to increase consumer trust by issuing accredited quality reports.
The new laboratory has regulatory and research roles. It supports food safety oversight and contributes to improving local production levels. The facility uses modern international technologies, including GC-MS and LC-MS/MS systems, to analyse olive oil and other products with high precision and reliability.
Al-Jouf International Agricultural Forum investment and Vision 2030 goals
This year’s Al-Jouf International Agricultural Forum placed emphasis on attracting high-quality agricultural investments. The programme explored ways to turn environmental challenges into investment options. Organisers stated that such efforts should strengthen Al-Jouf Region’s status as a leading agricultural area in the Middle East.
According to SPA, forum discussions linked local initiatives with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals for environment, water, and agriculture. By balancing technology use, investment, and human capital development, the Al-Jouf International Agricultural Forum is expected to support sustainable growth in the region’s agricultural sector.
