Khedaim Abdullah Al Derei, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Al Dahra Holding, highlighted the company's commitment to employing advanced technologies and innovative concepts to drive global investments in the high-quality food sector. This initiative was established in collaboration between Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and the World Economic Forum (WEF) to develop solutions that enhance food production, ensure sustainable food supply chains, and combat global hunger.

Speaking at the Food Innovation Conference 2024, Al Derei stated, "Al Dahra’s participation in the conference stems from understanding the vital role of innovation in our field of work. We consistently invest in new tech that drives production efficiency and quality. We believe innovation is key to facing all challenges, including climate change and resource scarcity."

He added that food industries are undergoing rapid transformations, prompting the need for sustainable solutions. The conference provides an opportunity to share expertise with various players in the field, aiming for a comprehensive, inclusive, and sustainable food system.

Food Innovation Conference Highlights

The Food Innovation Conference 2024 was hosted at the Museum of the Future and Emirates Towers between 13-15 May. It brought together over 150 international experts and academics alongside local, regional, and global private sector players and farmers. The conference featured several discussion panels highlighting technology's role in supporting resilient, inclusive, and sustainable food systems while facilitating global cooperation.
