Al Ain Set To Host The 8th Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship Featuring Top Jiu-Jitsu Talent

The Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship (ADXC) is set to debut in Al Ain on 6 December 2024. This marks the first time the event will be held in this historic UAE city. The eighth edition of ADXC will showcase top-tier jiu-jitsu matches at the ADNEC Centre Al Ain, promising a day filled with thrilling bouts and related events leading up to the competition.

Organised by International Vision Sports Management (IVSM) in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), ADXC aims to bolster Abu Dhabi's reputation as a premier hub for combat sports. This event joins other notable competitions like UFC, Rising Stars Arabia, and UAE Warriors in enhancing the region's sporting profile.

Since its inception during Abu Dhabi Showdown Week in October 2023, ADXC has become a key event on the international combat sports calendar. The championship began with ADXC1 and ADXC2 in Abu Dhabi, followed by ADXC3 in Balneário Camboriú and ADXC4 in Paris. Subsequent editions returned to Abu Dhabi for ADXC5 and ADXC6, while ADXC7 is scheduled for Rio de Janeiro on 17 November 2024.

The championship has consistently highlighted Emirati talents such as Omar Al Suwadi, Mohammed Al Suwaidi, and Balqees Al Hashmi. These athletes have competed alongside a diverse array of participants from across the region. Each edition of ADXC introduces innovative rules that challenge competitors and enhance their skills, keeping fans engaged with new challenges.
