Ajman Tourism Launches Second Edition Of Self-Exploration Through Tourism Summer Training Programme

The Ajman Department of Tourism Development (ADTD) has introduced the second edition of its 'Self-Exploration through Tourism' summer training programme. This initiative aims to empower Emirati youth, enhancing their contributions to key sectors like tourism.

Running until July 31, 2025, it targets Emirati university students within the UAE, offering them practical work experience to boost their skills and career prospects.

Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ADTD, stated: "ADTD’s 'Self-Exploration through Tourism’ programme reflects our longstanding commitment to empowering the youth by providing exemplary educational and training opportunities. It serves as an ideal platform for students to explore their innate potential and capabilities, as well as refine their knowledge and skills, thereby fostering an empowered young generation capable of creating a brighter and more advanced future, in line with the national strategic goals and Ajman Vision 2030."

The programme is designed to align students with labour market needs by equipping them with modern tools and systems. It also instils values such as punctuality, teamwork, and responsibility. Participants gain insights into various fields like marketing, tourism, hospitality, human resources management, accounting, graphic design, and public law.

Students participating in this programme receive a financial reward upon successful completion based on eligibility criteria. They also have access to specialised workshops and initiatives that enhance their educational journey. A participation certificate is awarded at the end of the programme.

The initiative emphasises cultivating positive behavioural values among students. It focuses on discipline, commitment, and teamwork while offering workshops that enrich both educational and professional experiences. These efforts aim to prepare students for future challenges in their careers.
