Ajman Tourism Department Launches Campaign To Regulate Holiday Homes Sector
The Ajman Department of Tourism Development has launched a detailed awareness campaign to guide investors through the licensing and permit procedures necessary for participating in the Holiday Homes sector. This move is designed to bolster the tourism industry in Ajman by acquainting investors with the legal requirements and benefits of the venture.
Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, pointed out the campaign's goal to familiarize stakeholders with Emiri Decree No. 6 of 2023, which regulates Holiday Homes in the emirate. The initiative includes educational workshops to offer investors the insight needed to exploit this opportunity effectively, aiming to attract more investors to the tourism sector in Ajman.

Alhashmi also mentioned plans to collaborate with leading reservation platforms. This collaboration aims to simplify the showcasing of Holiday Homes, creating a transparent legal environment that benefits investors, visitors, and the broader tourism ecosystem in Ajman.
The introduction of Holiday Homes services in 2023, under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, aims to strengthen the emirate's tourism sector. This initiative supports Ajman's strategic vision for tourism development outlined in Emiri Decree No. 03 of 2012, providing a structured approach to regulating Holiday Home activities.
Investors interested in the Holiday Homes sector can register through the department's electronic system, which guides them through the necessary steps to obtain permits and licenses. This streamlined process is part of Ajman's effort to attract a larger number of visitors, enhance the tourism experience, and contribute to the local economy while preserving the emirate's cultural heritage.
The Ajman Department of Tourism Development is committed to promoting sustainable tourism practices. The emirate's tourism landscape offers a diverse array of attractions, including natural reserves, luxury accommodations, dining options, traditional markets, and entertainment venues. The introduction of Holiday Home services is expected to enrich Ajman's tourism offerings, drawing more visitors and supporting the emirate's vision of becoming a distinguished and sustainable tourist destination in the region.
Through these initiatives, Ajman aims to enhance its appeal to tourists, support local communities, and uphold sustainable tourism practices. The department's focus on cultural preservation, alongside the development of the Holiday Homes sector, underscores Ajman's commitment to a balanced and responsible approach to tourism development.
