Ajman Tourism Attractions: Modern Destinations, Nature Reserves And Heritage Sites

Ajman is strengthening tourism with projects that mix leisure, culture and nature for residents and visitors. Key destinations such as Al Zorah, Marsa Ajman and the Red Fort give a varied experience. Together they show how the emirate combines coastal relaxation, heritage exploration and family entertainment within one compact location in the UAE.

The emirate has become one of the UAE’s leading tourism destinations for people from inside and outside the country. Ajman tourism benefits from new roads, upgraded beaches, modern public spaces and luxury resorts. These improvements support a balanced image of authenticity and modern life, making the emirate more attractive for short breaks and longer stays.

Ajman’s Modern Tourism Attractions

Ajman tourism is strongly driven by Al Zorah, one of the emirate’s most important tourism zones. The area includes a protected nature reserve, modern resorts and a popular public beach. Visitors find golf, water sports and family attractions in one setting. Calm surroundings and well-planned facilities make Al Zorah suitable for both day trips and extended holidays.

Al Zorah Nature Reserve is central to Ajman tourism, with dense mangroves that host resident and migratory birds. The ecosystem includes varied plant species, coral reefs and fish-rich waters. Families can enjoy a water park, dinosaur exhibition, sports facilities and children’s play zones. Popular activities include jet skiing, inflatable boat rides, fishing excursions and guided kayak tours through the mangroves. The nearby Marina Walk offers walking and jogging paths, plus more than 25 restaurants and entertainment venues.

Marsa Ajman is another key pillar of Ajman tourism, located in the heart of the city. The waterfront destination spreads over more than 140,000 square metres near Ajman Free Zone. It sits close to several high-end hotels, including Fairmont Ajman and Ajman Saray. The modern promenade encourages walking, jogging and cycling along the coast in a calm seaside setting.

Designed to support Ajman tourism for families, Marsa Ajman offers wide green spaces, children’s activities and an interactive water fountain. A central plaza can host up to 3,000 visitors for events and performances. Restaurants and cafés overlook the sea, alongside retail outlets and open-air kiosks with a relaxed shopping style. A two-hour sea cruise features an open buffet of seafood, western and eastern dishes, with live entertainment on board.

Heritage and resorts enrich Ajman tourism

The Red Fort adds historical depth to Ajman tourism, giving visitors a look at traditional architecture. The fort first had four rooms and two towers, later expanded during the 1980s. Its red-coloured exterior walls and the use of sandalwood beams are distinctive. Surrounding the fort are a traditional well, native trees, courtyards, carved features and arches that highlight architectural skill from its period.

Resort developments also support Ajman tourism within Al Zorah. Al Zorah Golf Club, opened in 2015, offers an 18-hole course laid out among mangroves and green fairways, with capacity for 50 players at once. Close by, The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah, provides sea-facing rooms and private villas. The resort sits minutes from the golf club, marine adventures such as kayaking, other water activities and the UAE Pygmy Zoo, creating a practical base for family holidays.

Ajman tourism aligns with the national "World’s Coolest Winter" campaign, launched under the theme "Our winter is entrepreneurial" by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism with partners in culture and heritage. By highlighting Marsa Ajman, Al Zorah, the Red Fort and other attractions, the emirate presents a joined-up travel offer that blends modern facilities, protected natural spaces and restored landmarks for visitors across different age groups.
