February Sees Taxi Fare Increase In This Emirate
Commuters in Ajman will see a slight increase in taxi fares this February, following a rise in fuel prices across the UAE.
The new fare will be Dh1.77 per kilometer, up from Dh1.74 in December and January, according to authorities. Ajman adjusts taxi rates monthly in line with fuel price changes, making this the first fare hike in two months.

The rise in taxi fares corresponds with higher fuel prices for February, as motorists across the UAE will be paying Dh6 to Dh9 more per full tank compared to last month.
Here's a breakdown of February's fuel prices per liter:
- Super 98: Dh2.74
- Special 95: Dh2.63
- E-Plus 91: Dh2.55
- Diesel: Dh2.82
While the fare increase is relatively minor, passengers relying on taxis for daily commutes may feel the impact over time. Ajman's fare adjustments reflect broader fuel price trends, ensuring that operational costs are balanced for both drivers and riders.
