Ajman Municipality And Singapore's Hikvision Collaborate On AI Integration In Government Services
The Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) recently welcomed a delegation from Singapore's Hikvision. The visit aimed to exchange insights on global best practices across key sectors. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation, with the delegation praising MPDA's dedication to sharing expertise and expanding collaborative opportunities for mutual benefit.
Khalid Moeen Al Hosani, Executive Director of the Public Health and Environment Sector at MPDA, highlighted the department's progress in smart transformation. He noted that Ajman has shifted many services from traditional methods to smart platforms, enabling residents to access these services anytime and anywhere.

Yousef Mohammad Al Shaiba, Advisor to the MPDA Chairman for Digital Transformation and AI, commended Singapore's leadership in smart city development. He mentioned that Ajman stands as an exemplary model in this field. "The meeting laid the groundwork for future collaboration to tackle shared challenges and further the development of smart cities worldwide," he stated.
Dr. Eng. Mohammad Ahmad bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector, explained that MPDA has effectively integrated artificial intelligence (AI) into infrastructure projects. This integration is particularly evident in monitoring and maintaining roads and public facilities.
These technological advancements have boosted operational efficiency, enhanced safety, reduced costs, and provided integrated services that meet societal needs. Hind Al Shamsi, Director of the Smart Services Development Department, briefed the delegation on MPDA's smart parking system.
She explained that this system aligns with the UAE's strategy for smart cities by modernising parking management through advanced technologies. Smart cameras and automated systems have been implemented in paid parking lots to ensure efficient management and streamline operations.
MPDA remains committed to leveraging AI in health, environment, and infrastructure sectors to improve quality of life while delivering high-quality services efficiently. The department aims to continue enhancing its offerings through technological innovations.
