Ajman Municipality And TRENDS Research & Advisory Sign MoU To Enhance Joint Cooperation In Urban Planning

The Municipality and Planning Department - Ajman (MPDA) has partnered with TRENDS Research & Advisory through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement aims to strengthen collaboration and coordination between the two entities. The focus is on enhancing research efforts and conducting field surveys, opinion polls, and training courses to benefit the community.

Noura Rashid Shattaf, MPDA's Executive Director of Strategy and Customer Happiness Sector, signed the MoU alongside Fahad Al Mahri, Head of TRENDS DUBAI Sector. Shattaf emphasised MPDA's goal to foster positive cooperation with leading institutions in knowledge and research. She highlighted TRENDS' esteemed status as a regional and international think tank.

Ajman Municipality Signs MoU with TRENDS

The MoU aims to provide specialised consultations and develop urban planning strategies. This initiative aligns with Ajman Vision 2030 by contributing to sustainable community building. Both parties will share knowledge through workshops and training sessions designed to enhance human resource skills based on high standards.

Fahed Al Mahri stated that the MoU demonstrates TRENDS' dedication to sustainable development. It also reinforces effective partnerships for sharing expertise in urban planning. He noted that both organisations plan to undertake joint research projects and initiatives benefiting the public, focusing on sustainable cooperation in preparing surveys related to public health, environment, and customer satisfaction.

The agreement involves conducting joint research on shared interests such as social, political, economic, and future studies. It also includes field surveys and exchanging experts to leverage their expertise in publications, bulletins, and events organised by both parties.

Joint Research Activities

The MoU outlines plans for organising joint research activities like conferences, seminars, lectures, and workshops. It encourages exchanging publications like books and periodicals between the two parties. Additionally, they will collaborate on issuing printed materials and simultaneous publishing of research reports according to each party's policies.
