Ajman Hosts Big Bad Wolf Book Fair Featuring Over 250,000 Books And Major Discounts

Ajman is hosting the Big Bad Wolf book fair for the first time, marking a significant cultural event. Sponsored by the Department of Tourism Development, this event takes place at the Ajman Youth Center from September 25 to October 5, 2025. The fair features over 250,000 books with discounts reaching up to 90%, and prices starting as low as AED 2.

The exhibition operates daily from 10 am to 9 pm, offering free entry throughout its 11-day duration. This initiative is in collaboration with the Government of Ajman and supported by the Sharjah Book Authority. Strategic partnerships include the Office of Special Educational Affairs in Ajman and the Ajman Youth Center.

Ajman Welcomes Big Bad Wolf Book Fair

The official announcement was made during a press conference at the Ajman Youth Center. Present were representatives from the Ajman government, the Tourism Development Department, and several publishers. Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, Director General of the Tourism Development Department in Ajman, highlighted that hosting this exhibition underscores Ajman's dedication to fostering culture and knowledge while encouraging reading within society.

Andrew Yap, founder of Big Bad Wolf, emphasized that their mission is to make reading accessible globally. He stated, "Books are not a luxury but a right for everyone." This initiative began in 2009 and has since expanded to over 50 cities across 17 countries.

Ajman marks the 51st stop for Big Bad Wolf in the Middle East. The fair offers a unique experience for book enthusiasts of all ages with an extensive range of books spanning various genres such as fiction, science, children's literature, and self-development.

This event is not just about selling books; it aims to promote literacy and cultivate a reading culture worldwide. By making books affordable and accessible, Big Bad Wolf seeks to inspire more people to engage with literature.
