Ajman Government Media Office And CNN Academy Collaborate To Enhance Local Storytelling Skills
The Ajman Government Media Office has partnered with CNN Academy to enhance media skills through specialised workshops. This collaboration, part of the "Media Calibers" programme, aims to utilise CNN Academy's advanced technology to develop local talent in line with Ajman Vision 2030. The agreement was formalised by Mohammed Abdulla Al Kaabi and Becky Anderson, marking a significant step towards fostering innovation in storytelling.
Mohammed Al Kaabi highlighted the importance of this partnership in advancing the skills of local storytellers. He stated, "Today, Emirati media does not merely keep pace with progress; it drives it through the hands of its youth and national talent." This collaboration is seen as a commitment to nurturing Emirati talent and sharing Ajman's story globally.

Becky Anderson expressed that this initiative builds on CNN Academy Abu Dhabi's training programmes. She said, "Building on the bespoke training programmes developed by CNN Academy Abu Dhabi to empower the next generation of storytellers, this collaboration with the Ajman Government Media Office extends our mission to nurture diverse media talent in the region and equip them with real-world skills, global newsroom standards, and the confidence to tell impactful stories that resonate far beyond their communities."
Amal Al Balushi from the Ajman Government Media Office noted that working with CNN Academy is a strategic move to boost communication skills within the Emirate. She emphasised that strategic partnerships are crucial for advancing media capabilities, particularly through initiatives like the 'Media Calibers' programme.
The MoU establishes a foundation for long-term cooperation between Ajman Government Media Office and CNN Academy. Founded in Abu Dhabi in 2021, CNN Academy aims to empower participants with multiplatform storytelling skills. This partnership aligns with Ajman's future goals by adopting modern communication practices supported by AI.
Following the signing ceremony, Al Kaabi visited the Creative Lab where Abu Dhabi's training programme takes place. The facilities include workshop spaces, technical edit suites, voiceover labs, and green screen studios. The CNN Academy team provided insights into practice sessions for current trainees from Abu Dhabi.
This collaboration signifies a commitment to enhancing media quality standards and equipping local talent with essential skills. By aligning with global industry standards, Ajman aims to fast-track its media advancement efforts through strategic partnerships like this one.
