Ajman Department Of Tourism Launches First Edition Of Masfout X Race For Adventure And Endurance

The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media has introduced the inaugural "Masfout X" Race. This sporting event combines adventure and endurance in the scenic Masfout region's mountains. The race is part of Ajman's celebrations for the UAE's 54th Eid Al Etihad, aiming to attract both elite athletes and sports enthusiasts.

The Masfout X Race will occur on 2nd December 2025, featuring three main stages: mountain trail running, mountain biking, and an endurance run. Additional activities like a mountain kayaking challenge will enhance the experience for participants and visitors alike. This event aims to test physical endurance in a stunning natural environment.

During a press conference at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ajman, Jawaher Al Matroushi from the Support Services Department announced the event alongside senior officials and media representatives. The launch aligns with Masfout’s recognition as the ‘Best Tourism Village in the World for 2025’ by UN Tourism.

Key figures present included Sheikha Murad AlBlooshi from Etihad Water and Electricity, Mohammed Abdulla Al Obaidli from the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, Bader Al Zarooni of Endurance Sports Services, Saif Ghadeer Al Ketbi from Masfoot Municipality Department, and Abdulla Ahmed Al Baker from Ajman Department of Tourism.

The event supports the Emirates Council for Balanced Development’s ‘Emirates Villages’ project. This initiative aims to transform villages into sustainable tourism destinations that reflect the UAE’s identity. It also aligns with a broader strategy to enhance rural and sports tourism as part of strengthening global tourism reputation.

Speakers highlighted that this race is crucial in establishing Ajman as a premier destination for sports and adventure tourism. They praised the collaboration between public and private sectors in organising this event, which showcases UAE's integrated national vision.

The organisers expressed gratitude towards strategic partners and sponsors like Etihad Water and Electricity, Emirates Council for Balanced Development, Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, UAE Triathlon Federation, Endurance Sports Services, among others. Their support was vital in bringing this initiative to fruition.
