Ajman's Crown Prince Endorses AED 57 Million Budget For HRNF In 2024

H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, has officially approved a budget of AED 57 million for the Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Foundation (HRNF) and its affiliated centres for the year 2024. This decision was made during the Foundation's first Board of Trustees meeting for 2024, which saw the presence of key figures including Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, and Tariq Abdullah Mohammed Al Awadhi, Director-General of HRNF.

The meeting, held at the Ruler’s Office, was a platform for Sheikh Ammar to commend the Board of Trustees for their exceptional performance and the high level of services provided to the citizens of Ajman. He highlighted the strategic organization of charitable activities and social services as a significant achievement. Emphasizing the importance of community service projects, Sheikh Ammar reiterated the directives of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, focusing on fostering a culture of assistance as a fundamental human value.

AED 57M HRNF Budget Approved by Ajman Prince

One of the key projects approved during this meeting was the initiative to replace housing for citizens, set to commence within the year. This project outlines specific eligibility criteria and budget allocations, aiming to address housing needs effectively. Sheikh Ammar has directed for the implementation of executive regulations concerning housing assistance, which will detail the types and values of aid available.

The annual report from the Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Centre-Ajman to serve the Holy Quran was also reviewed during this meeting. Last year, the centre served 7,610 beneficiaries and facilitated the printing of 23,000 copies of the Holy Qur’an. Additionally, students from the centre participated in Ramadan activities in Ajman, with international representation from a reader at the Hamid Centre in Albania during an event organized by the World Muslim Communities Council.

The Foundation’s annual report for 2023 revealed that a total of AED 40,866,955 was spent on aid, benefiting 10,391 individuals across six main sectors: social, religious, community, educational, health, and emergency. Discussions also covered updates on the Foundation’s endowments and proposals for developing its organizational structure. The Financial Audit Authority's report was reviewed alongside other general topics related to charitable work.

This meeting underscores Ajman's commitment to enhancing community welfare through strategic planning and implementation of impactful projects. The HRNF continues to play a pivotal role in supporting various segments of society in Ajman through its comprehensive range of services and initiatives.
