Airbus Delegation Engages With Flynas On Delivery Of Over 100 Airplanes In Strategic Partnership

flynas, a prominent low-cost airline, recently welcomed Airbus senior management to its Riyadh headquarters. During the visit, flynas revealed plans to acquire over 100 Airbus aircraft within five years. This expansion will increase its fleet to more than 160 planes by 2030. The acquisition is part of a larger order for 280 aircraft, valued at over SAR161 billion, marking one of the largest orders in the region.

The recent visit from Airbus coincided with flynas receiving a new Airbus A320neo on February 8. This addition brings the total number of A320neo aircraft in their fleet to 54. This aligns with flynas's strategic growth plan, which aims to connect Saudi Arabia with global destinations and support national aviation goals.

Airbus and flynas Discuss Airplane Deliveries

flynas's expansion strategy is closely tied to Saudi Arabia's National Civil Aviation Strategy. The airline aims to link the Kingdom with 250 international destinations by 2030. This initiative supports accommodating 330 million passengers and hosting 150 million tourists annually, including facilitating access to the Two Holy Mosques under the Pilgrim Experience Program.

The Airbus delegation toured flynas's Riyadh headquarters, exploring innovative solutions offered by the airline. They engaged in discussions with senior executives about potential cooperation and strengthening their strategic partnership.

Bander Al-Muhanna, CEO and Managing Director of flynas, expressed appreciation for the visit from Airbus senior management. He stated that it highlights flynas's status as a leading Saudi carrier globally and underscores their long-term partnership's significance in achieving national aviation goals.

Al-Muhanna noted that flynas's relationship with Airbus began at its inception and deepened in 2016 with an agreement to purchase 120 aircraft. Last year, this partnership advanced further with an order for 160 additional Airbus planes, including A320 and A330 wide-body types.

The collaboration between flynas and Airbus reflects a commitment to enhancing Saudi Arabia's aviation industry. By expanding its fleet and strengthening partnerships, flynas aims to play a crucial role in connecting the Kingdom with international markets while supporting national tourism objectives.
