AIM Congress Expands With Inaugural China Chapter In Shanghai To Enhance Global Investment Opportunities
The AIM Congress Organising Committee has announced the launch of AIM China Chapter 2025, marking its first international edition outside the UAE. Scheduled for 7th to 8th November 2025 at Shanghai's National Exhibition & Convention Centre (NECC), it coincides with the China International Import Expo (CIIE). The theme is "Deciphering the Intertwined Engines of Globalisation: ‘From Going Out’ to ‘Going Up’."
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade and President of AIM Congress, expressed, "Hosting AIM’s first international chapter in Shanghai reflects our shared vision for deeper UAE–China collaboration and a collective commitment to building economies on the pillars of sustainability, technology, and global collaboration. AIM China Chapter will serve as a platform for strengthening our partnership, driving new opportunities in trade, opening the door to strategic investment, and promoting private-sector cooperation and knowledge sharing. It not only has the potential to bolster bilateral ties but also add new resilience to the fabric of the global economy."

Dawood Al Shezawi, President of the AIM Global Foundation, remarked that AIM China Chapter 2025 represents a significant step in connecting global communities. He noted that alongside CIIE, one of the world's key trade events, AIM will highlight prospects in advanced manufacturing, digital finance, artificial intelligence, and clean energy. These sectors are pivotal in driving global investment.
The event aims to gather leaders from government, business, and finance sectors. They will discuss how economies can transition from outward expansion to upward innovation and value creation. This forum is seen as a milestone in global expansion efforts.
AIM China Chapter aligns with UAE and China's vision to enhance trade, technology, and development ties. It serves as a model for collaboration by acting as a catalyst for knowledge exchange and partnership building. This initiative reaffirms AIM Congress's role as a trusted platform shaping investment strategies.
In 2024, UAE-China trade reached US$101.8 billion. This made China the UAE’s largest trading partner, accounting for 18 percent of imports. Such figures underscore the importance of fostering bilateral relations through platforms like AIM.
