AIM Congress 2025 Concludes Successfully In Abu Dhabi With Global Leaders Discussing Investment Strategies

The 14th AIM Congress concluded at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, marking three days of impactful discussions and networking. The event, themed "Mapping the Future of Global Investment," gathered global leaders to tackle economic challenges and explore sustainable solutions. Supported by UAE ministries, it attracted a diverse audience, including heads of state, ministers, and international representatives.

Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade and President of AIM Congress, praised the congress's outcomes as significant milestones. He highlighted the UAE's growing role as a global hub for economic dialogue and investment. "AIM Congress is not only a platform for communication, but an effective tool for steering the course of global economic development toward a more sustainable and prosperous future," he stated.

AIM Congress 2025 Concludes in Abu Dhabi

The event saw participation from 15,831 individuals from 181 countries, including 207 high-level government officials such as nine heads of state and 74 ministers. A total of 1,385 speakers contributed to 431 panel discussions and 11 workshops. Additionally, there were 435 media representatives present.

During the congress, 588 exhibitors showcased their innovations while facilitating over 12,341 B2B, G2B, and G2G meetings. This highlights the event's importance as a networking hub for business opportunities. The programme also included 13 roundtable meetings and 34 side forums.

A total of 47 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the congress. These agreements underscore the event's role in fostering strategic global partnerships and investment collaborations.

Dawood Al Shezawi, President of AIM Global Foundation, emphasised that hosting such an inclusive edition in Abu Dhabi strengthens the UAE's reputation as a key meeting point for shaping the future global economy.

Ministerial Session on Trade

The high-level Ministerial Session on International Trade focused on open trade policies' role in shaping future markets. Moderated by Soraya Gargash from the UAE Ministry of Economy, it explored how trade agreements can drive prosperity and innovation.

H.E. Nougi Acosta Jaen from Costa Rica stressed collaboration over fragmentation: "Trade must be built on shared standards and regulatory harmonisation." Todd McClay from New Zealand added that trade is about people—farmers, workers—and cited New Zealand's partnership with Mexico as a model.

Investment Insights

Zaher Al Qatarneh from Jordan highlighted investment's transformative potential: "Investment is not just a financial mechanism; it's about job creation." Wamkele Mene from AfCFTA discussed Africa's trade future through intra-continental collaboration.

Startup Pitch Competition Winners

AIM Congress 2025 unveiled winners in its Startup Pitch Competition across Seed and Series A categories. Neurabody from South Korea won in Seed category while Coffee Cherry Beverage Co. LLC from Jordan topped Series A category.
